The “I’ve met” list
Growing up, my dad always told me stories about these amazing celebrities that he ran into constantly right in his own home town: Brooklyn, NY. It used to fascinate me that he would point out someone on my TV screen that I idolized and just say “I remember the first time I bumped into Eddie Murphy…” I was obsessed with his stories and continuously milked him for details on what they were like in real life. Of course, I’ve grown up a lot since then, met more celebrities than I can remember sometimes and am on own path to work in the industry someday. So needless to say, I’m more than aware that celebrities are just regular people. Still, when I hear a celebrity that inspires me is in the area, I don’t pass up on an opportunity to have my moment with them. And I’d probably be lying if I said there aren’t ANY actors/musicians I internally fangirl over. But perhaps the most fulfilling part about it all is to go back and tell my stories to other fans who haven’t gotten an opportunity to meet that idol of theirs and are just dying to know what they’re like.
Which is why I thought I’d construct this masterlist of people I’ve had the opportunity to meet! If you see an idol of yours on here, feel free to message me and ask all about HOW I got to meet them, my best advice on how YOU can meet them, and just how they were in person :) I’ll continue to add people as I remember/meet new ones. So, without further adieu..
Who I’ve met:
(* means I’ve met them more than once)
Sean Patrick Flanery
Richard Speight Jr*
Lou Taylor Pucci
Billie Joe Armstrong
Eveyone in New Found Glory
Everyone in Bowling For Soup
Robert Downey Jr.
Jon Bon Jovi
And uh, Max Bemis held my hand one time.
I was close enough to see Paul McCartney and Paul Rudds sweat drip down their faces when my friends and I saw a Saturday Night Live dress rehearsal. We saw McCartney joke around with the techs before skits started and then later prepare his instruments. We saw Paul Rudd get quickly changed multiple times and then later headbang to Paul McCarntneys mashup of “Give Peace A Chance/A Day In The Life” in the crowd like one of the fans (because he was one.) It was pretty great.
Welp, there ya have it! My master list. Fun times. Feel free to bother me about details if you’re ever really curious about an experience. Or don’t. Either or. You have free will and stuff. That is all. Love you creepily.
SPIKE AND CORDELIA MAKING OUT. VERY SUPERNATURAL, INDEED.
Reason for not posting Supernatural responses immediately
NOT. MENTALLY. READY. I cried and still went to Rocky and resented the world. I could NOT face Tumblr.
MARK PELLEGRINO IS A FUCKING BOSS AND I SCREAMED WHEN HE SAW HIS NAME. But even he couldn’t numb the pain that was the aftermath of Destiels breakup.
Is Cas alive?! WHO THE FUCK KNOWS. If his last fucking words were promising Dean he’d make it up to him I will literally become a hermit. Although sexy crazy laughing Misha is the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen in my LIFE, I can’t live in a world where Dean and Cas didn’t make peace.
CAS IS JUST SEASON 6 WILLOW AND DEAN NEEDS TO SWALLOW HIS PRIDE AND BE THE FUCKING XANDER HE’S TO STUBBORN TO BE SO HE’LL COME BACK AND EVERYTHING WILL BE NERD ANGEL JOKES AND UNICORNS.
Lovely followers… READ.
I’m headed to Atlanta tonight for DragonCon. MEANING, although it’s not going to be ALL I post, I will be live blogging a lot of it for the next few days. Just off the top of my head I know I’ll be giving updates on the Supernatural panel, the Buffy panel, and cool stories about any other fun panels/events/celebs I may run into.
That being said, if you have NO INTEREST in Supernatural and/or the cast, Buffy and/or the cast, Back to the Future, Dr. Horrible, Rocky Horror, Wil Wheaton, etc… I PROMISE I will not over blog about it and that I will also continue to blog whatever other stuff I usually blog that 600+ of you continue to stick around for (film stuff, music stuff, other shows…whatever, I don’t know.) I will refrain from posting about EVERY SINGLE little thing I fangirl about. That’s what my Twitter is for ;) I usually live tweet every ridiculous thing down to Misha’s breathing pattern for stuff like this and live blog the bigger, more important/informative/humorous updates that I think a large portion of you guys would actually be into.
Sound good? Right on. Thank you for continuing to be the greatest followers in the history of followers. I love you all in the creepiest way possible. Because creeper love is deeper love.
Cheers, boys :D
TMI Tuesday…because by my logic, I haven’t gone to sleep yet, so it’s still Tues.
I’m easily fascinated by things most people consider common on a daily basis, but among my many fascinations, people tend to consider blood the strangest, and I’m not really sure why. Blood is actually a pretty popular art form and it’s the reason you can even read this right now. It’s life. Without it, death. It’s a symbol of what’s important. No matter what happens, it’s there. It doesn’t matter how much you’ve changed or how low you’ve sunk if you can still bleed. It flows in you now, and it will flow in you until your final breath. It is literally the only thing you can be sure of. It’s beautiful and it’s reassuring and the sight of it instantly calms me down. I’d never cut myself to see it or anything drastic like that, but it’s definitely the reason I grew up fascinated by vampires and watch so much Dexter&Six Feet Under.
I think Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer says it best… “Why do you think we eat it? It’s what keeps you going. Makes you warm. Makes you hard. Makes you other than dead.”
